25th Anniversary
Commemorating 25 years
The Metropolitan Drug Commission has enjoyed much success over its long history. To celebrate, the organization will host a fundraising dinner on Thursday, August 4 at 6:30 p.m. at The Foundry.
A short commemorative video will be shown as a tribute to the Metropolitan Drug Commission’s 25 years of service in Knoxville. The video will feature testimonies from community members who have contributed to MDC’s success as a staff, coalition or board member.
Honorary guest panelists for the evening include:
- Richard Lambert, FBI
- Dr. James McIntyre, Knox County Superintendent
- Dr. Roger Brooksbank, TeamHealth
- Dr. Michael Carringer, UT Medical Center
Robin Wilhoit of WBIR-TV, Knoxville’s NBC affiliate, will serve as moderator.
Tickets on sale now!
Individuals can purchase tickets for $125. Corporations can sponsor a table for $1,000 (a $250 savings). All ticket sales are tax-deductible.
Funds raised from ticket sales will be used to support three major goals:
- Reducing underage binge drinking
- Decreasing the misuse of prescription drugs among youth
- Decrease the number unintentional drug poisoning deaths
The dress code is business standard. Please note, alcohol will not be served.
