Metropolitan Drug Commission Programs at a glance

The Metropolitan Drug Commission is a non-profit organization established by a joint resolution of the City of Knoxville and Knox County to unite policy makers and leaders to address community substance abuse issues. As the official primary drug abuse prevention partnership since 1986, the Metropolitan Drug Commission serves the community by educating; advocating for treatment and prevention; and providing a forum in which members from all sectors of the community come together to address alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.

For over 20 years, the MDC has been our region’s substance abuse prevention agency, with programs and outcomes recognized as among the best in the nation. The MDC has made significant strides in moving East Tennessee forward in combating substance abuse. In order to continue these successful programs, we need your financial support.
